Mason Jars in Boots: A Winning Combo
I’m always looking for ways to re-purpose any item that seems “sturdy” enough for repeat use.
Glass jars are one of the best multi-use items around. No matter what shape or size, if you look closely enough, you can always find a cute, innovative new use for them. Here’s a few of my favorites:
Boots: I used to get so frustrated with my leather boots, because they would inevitably flop over when I put them away. My solution? I re-purposed empty glass honey jars and placed them inside boots. This helps preserve their shape and makes it so much easier to keep your shoes organized!
Bathroom: Storing cotton swabs, Q-tips, and other bathroom nick-nacks is a quick way to add a touch of elegance to any bathroom.
Food: The most obvious option is one that I sometimes forget about! Growing up, mom would store rice in large, empty pickle jars. My pantry is now home to small jars of quinoa, buckwheat, and farro as well. It’s amazing how something as easy as changing where your food is stored can elevate your kitchen, and give you a little bust of excitement when getting ready to cook.
